EA released a new trailer for The Sims: Medieval. This time it’s mostly about the middle ages not being as romantic as you might’ve thought…

It took quite a while but they’re finally here: our previews for the Sims Medieval and the Sims 3: Late Night from the Gamescom. Last August, several Sims sites from all over Europe were invited to have an exclusive sneak peak at these upcoming games, and we were one of them.

Our colleagues from SimTimes are also at the Gamescom in Cologne at the moment. They’ve used their Twitter accountto Tweet live during the presentation.

Last month two Dutch websites (SimsPlanet2 and Sims 3 Nieuws) were invited to EA’s studios in the US to get a sneak preview of The Sims Medieval and Darkspore, a new game based on Spore. Read on to see what they had to say about it.

People at EA are always in for laugh, and when it comes to promoting new games they make no exception. We’ve got some footage from the Sims Medieval press event at EA’s Redwood Shores studios, where they even held some actual Medieval games on the campus.

EA did a keynote today during the Gamescom conference in Cologne. One of the games they showed during the keynote was The Sims Medieval, the new stand alone Sims game for PC. Our colleagues at Gametrailers.com were kind enough to record the Medieval bit from the keynote, and put it online.

Rachel Bernstein is the executive producer for The Sims: Medieval. She did a video interview about the game, which was released after EA’s Gamescom keynote. More after the break.

Earlier on we already announced that The Sims 3 for consoles, Darkspore and Sims 3: World Adventures for mobile would be in the line up for the Gamescom this week. EA has now said to us that there will be a presentation as well for the upcoming game The Sims: Medieval and the Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack.
