Rumors were circulating the internet for quite some time, but now it appears that Maxis is indeed working on a new SimCity game.

We haven’t heard a lot from Maxis lately. Their last game Darkspore wasn’t a huge success and they are no longer officially linked to the Sims, since that game is being done at a separate studio now.
But from the looks of it, Maxis is making a return.

The latest Sims 3 patch might have some clues to Showtime for us. It appears that there are some interactions that might come from the upcoming expansion Showtime in this patch.

Today the first screens of the Sims 3: Master Suite Stuff appeared online. EA hasn’t officially announced anything surrounding this stuff pack yet, so we don’t really know what type of objects will be in the game.
